Here's what players need to know for the 2019-2020 
concert season.
Auditions

SYMPHONY PRO MUSICA IS SEEKING PLAYERS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON! Based in Hudson MA and now celebrating its 37th year, SPM is a high level, ambitious volunteer community orchestra serving MetroWest and Central MA, conducted by Mark Churchill.

 

Please contact us anytime if you are interested in joining. Our music director would be happy to talk to you about the current player needs and schedule an audition if appropriate.  Current openings include:

• Bass Trombone

• Timpani

• Bassoon 3/Contra

• String Players in all sections

***Extra woodwinds, brass, and percussion are needed for Mahler, Symphony No. 3, in February.***

Rehearsals

Most rehearsals are held Wednesday nights in the Hudson High School band room.  We begin promptly at 7:15 PM and rehearse until 10:00 PM. The four concert programs are performed both at Hudson High (Saturday evening) and St. Mark's School in Westborough (Sunday afternoon). I. 2/3 November 2019. Inmo Yang, violin (1st prize, Paganini Competition. Will perform on the ex-Joachim Stradivarius violin used for the first performance of Brahms Violin Concerto!)

Concert Warm-Up

Warm-ups are generally scheduled for an hour and forty-five minutes before each concert.  Details are announced at dress rehearsals, and will be posted on the SPM Calendar
