Show Your Support for Symphony Pro Musica

Founded in 1983, Symphony Pro Musica enriches the cultural life of our communities with live performances of great symphonic repertoire. We enrich Metrowest and Central Massachusetts communities through extraordinary symphonic Music— fostering collaboration, inspiring young minds, and showcasing the Arts' vital role in vibrant, creative, interconnected, & equitable societies.

As a volunteer orchestra, all the musicians of SPM play for the love of music, the experience of playing in a high level ensemble, and the joy of sharing their passion with our audiences. Players represent a variety of backgrounds. For example, those who have professional performance degrees, current and retired school music educators, college age students, and accomplished amateurs. Every member is essential to the success of our performances!

Ticket sales do not begin to cover the cost of producing our concert series.  Please support Symphony Pro Musica Society, Inc. Your contribution is tax deductible and greatly appreciated.  SPM has federal 501(c)(3) status, and is a Massachusetts non-profit corporation.

Heartfelt Tributes for Symphony Pro Musica

The Beethoven (Violin Concerto) is a forever project, and I learned so much just by working on it together with SPM and (Maestro Churchill)

Maria Ioudenitch

Violinist, SPM soloist, First Prize Winner Ysaÿe, Tibor Varga, and the Joseph Joachim Competitions

(Maestro Churchill's) thorough knowledge of the score, in both the new and old repertoire we performed, was incredibly impressive.

Tommy Mesa

Cellist, SPM soloist, First Prize Winner, 2016 Sphinx Competition.

(Maestro Churchill's) deep experience, musicality, and endless dedication to the cause are inspiring. The orchestra plays music for all the right reasons: with curiosity, seriousness of purpose, and enthusiasm.

Benjamin Hochman

Pianist and Conductor, SPM soloist. Winner, Lincoln Center Avery Fisher Career Grant.

No matter how we felt when we arrived at (a performance) we would all, audience members, conductor, and orchestra, feel much better when we left. How many things are there left in today’s world with that level of reliability and assurance?

Daniel Sweeney

Former SPM board President

Symphony Pro Musica played on a level far beyond what anyone expects from a ‘community orchestra’ serving a local area...a real sense of common endeavor!

Richard Dyer

Chief Classical Music Critic, The Boston Globe, 1976-2006

It has been a delight to see how Maestro Churchill brings fantastically original programming to the community while maintaining a high standard of artistic excellence and fostering great enthusiasm among the musicians.

Zlatomir Fung

Cellist. 5-time soloist. Gold medalist 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition, Avery Fisher Career Grant.
